Carolina Artisan Bread is an artisan bread bakery in Midland, NC. Our bread is baked fresh daily. We offer a 1.5 pound classic french sourdough batard which contains 10% spelt, a 1 pound mini baguette that contains the basic mild sourdough formula but has 30% freshly milled spelt, an Italian Focaccia topped with parmesan cheese, black olives and rosemary, a French baguette and Vollkorn-a german style sourdough rye. The wheat used in the Vollkorn is North Carolina grown and ground and 100% organic.
Bill Logan is the baker/owner and has baked bread for friends and family all of his life. He decided a few years ago that baking was a consuming passion and wanted to do it professionally. He attended the Baking and Pastry Arts program at the Art Institute of Charlotte and had the privilege of working as an apprentice to a master French baker in Vermont for several months. Bill started Carolina Artisan Bakery in June of 2013.
